Terms of Submission

Terms of Submission to Mother Muse Collective 

This Agreement applies to any image, graphics, digital assets, writing, or digital media created or taken by a submitting artist and delivered to Mother Muse Collective. This Agreement governs the relationship between the parties and in no communication or other exchange, shall modify the terms of this Agreement unless agreed to in writing.

All artwork and rights relating to them, including copyright and ownership rights in the media in which the artwork is stored, remain the sole and exclusive property of the Artist. This license provides Mother Muse Collective with the limited right to reproduce, publicly display, and distribute the artwork on mothermuseco.com and subsequent social media outlets. Images used for any purpose not directly related outside of those terms must be with the express written permission of Artist. Images will contain copyright management information (CMI) at the discretion of Mother Muse Collective in the form of  1) a copyright notice ©  listed in the image caption. All other copyright and ownership information (including that embedded in the metadata) is the responsibility of the Artist to provide with the work.  Removing and/or altering such information is prohibited and constitutes a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Mother Muse Collective will take no responsibility for theft of images or work from our website.

Artwork must be sent in JPEG or PNG formats at a resolution of at least 480px by 480 px, 72 dpi for reproduction on mothermuseco.com. Artwork that does not meet these size requirements will not be considered for publication due to the quality standards maintained by Mother Muse Collective. Mother Muse Collective will not publish artwork deemed hateful or to have constituted harm to someone or something during its making and reserves the right to remove from the site any artwork deemed retrospectively inappropriate. Artists also reserve the right to remove their own images from Mother Muse Collective and may do so by emailing mothermuse.info@gmail.com. Artwork will be removed by Mother Muse Collective from mothermuseco.com and all social media outlets within 7 business days at the request of the artist.

Mother Muse Collective is not responsible for any claims, liability, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees and expenses, arising out of the creation or any use of the artwork showcased on Mother Muse Collective. It is the full responsibility of the artist to have gained proper model and property releases, have submitted their own original artwork, or have obtained proper licensing for images used in the creation of works.
