Mother Muse Co will be hosting her first retreat this autumn in November of 2017. Partnering with co-founders Rachel King and Kirra Kimbrell, community members Louanna Doll, Starrla Donavanik, Gabrielle Guisewite, Danielle Hines, and Danielle Larkin will be hosting a 3 day women’s retreat nestled in a cozy cabin in the mountains of Pennsylvania. 

Metanoia is defined as the journey of changing one’s mind, heart, self, or way of life. The first step in providing oneself with the tools needed to engage on such a journey is to embrace ones need for Self Love. What better way to do that then embracing the essentials of self care and joining the Mother Muse Community for a weekend filled with yoga, eating, conversation, seminars, hikes, and much more!

Her work is inspired by nature as well as our connections to each other. Her process includes photography, jewelry making, and home decor. She is interested in exploring the magic of every day life and how we can become the best versions of ourselves.

 

 

Processed with VSCO with b1 presetKirra Kimbrell is an artist interested in the the interaction and intersection of the natural world, humanity and the narratives that drive us. Her process includes photography, drawing, and experimental ideas that seek to create oneness between the works themselves and the elements they represent. She seeks to find the chaos of the natural world and understand it through stories, images, and sound.

Louanna Doll is a second year graduate student and will be receiving her Masters in Social Work in May 2018. She just finished her first half of her yoga teacher training and teaches at 4 Warriors Yoga. Her goal is to combine yoga, mindfulness and meditation within her future social work practice. As a social worker, Louanna has learned and practices self care on a regular basis to prevent stress and burnout.

 

 

13415598_10208275740146487_9170607040272182166_oStarrla Donavanik is in her second year of Physical Therapist Assistant school and will be receiving her license in July 2018.  Having found a passion for helping people heal physically, she has worked in outpatient rehabilitation as a physical therapy technician since 2013.  She has recently taken an interest in the importance of mental healing and mindfulness in combination with traditional therapeutic exercises and stretching.  She practices hula-hoop dance and yoga as forms of combining mental and physical self care.

Gabrielle Guisewite is an Integrative Nutrition* Health Coach based in Maryland. Her own health journey has been an ongoing quest for balance and inner peace. Struggling with allergies, asthma & eczema her entire life has lead her to become passionate about helping guide others through their own health & wellness goals. Her personal experience combined with her unique educational background gives her the perfect combination of balance & knowledge necessary to help others better understand their body and how to become the happiest and healthiest version of themselves.
